To get to Stegen you take the Bergen Railway (daily between Bergen and Oslo) to the tiny town of Myrdal, where this picture was taken. In Myrdal you take the pictured Flåmsbana (Flåm Railway) down into the valley to the village of Flåm. The Flåmsbana goes down one of the steepest railway grades in the world, so has something like six sets of backup brakes!
