This is the ski jump and ski museum at Holmenkollen. There have been ski jumps here since 1892; this one was built in 1992. The top affords a fantastic view of Oslo and surrounding area. It's believed that skiing began in Norway. There are 4000-year-old rock carvings showing people on skis! However, the oldest actual skis discovered, about 5000 years of age, were found in Sweden.
